EKITI 2014: PDP ALLEGES BIAS IN TWIN SUITS AGAINST FAYOSE

Attempts to stall the governorship ambition of former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, took a new twist as the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) petitioned the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, on the matter.

This is as the Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation has said that the people of Ekiti have resolved to allow reasons prevailed above sentiments in the forthcoming governorship poll by voting en masse for incumbent, Kayode Fayemi.

The PDP, in its petition, alleged likelihood of bias in the two similar suits brought against its candidate by two different parties in Ekiti, hence sought a transfer.

In the letter dated May 30, 2014 and signed by its National Secretary, Professor Wale Oladipo, PDP said suit, with number HAD/51/2015, brought against the candidature of Fayose in the election by Adeniyi Ajakaiye, and another one against the PDP by Citizens Popular Party (CPP) were assigned to Justice Monisola Abodunde, and asked the Chief Judge to transfer the cases.
