Professor ADENIRAN to develop Ekiti - S.P Adewa

I have been very excited since i learnt that Professor ADENIRAN will contest for SENATE in 2015. The man has laboured so much for EKITI and the PDP. I know with him EKITI will be well represented and our
state will get the best from the NATIONAL level. Out of curiosity some of us went to him to let him know that we YOUTHS who believe in justice and good leadership support his ambition. We also wanted to know his plan for our SENETORIAL DISTRICT and for our dear STATE EKITI. He said he could only give us a general message which he plans to distribute at the appropriate time. He said a detailed AGENDA will come much later. We were lucky to have persuaded him to release one copy of the message to us. Since is a man of the people, we are very Sure he won't quarrel with us if we share it with others now. Enjoy your reading as we also did;...........STAGE is the acronym for our mission of SERVICE, TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, GOOD GOVERNANCE and EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION. Stage, by it self, is a step or point in the process of development. It also stand for a scene of action or forum of debate. In 2015 NIGERIA'S political theatre requires resetting and new performances throughout d political space that has been infected, distorted, and replete with unpatriotic scenes and acts which deprive our polity of its essence! It is time to redefine the scope of governance and the role of a people's representative in it, for. From 1922 to the present, it has been a history of hope and tales ranging from ineffective representation due to inadequate Comprehension of the roles of the legislatures to gross abuse of power deriving from patent disregard for the fundamental tenets on which the values of democracy are based. Many parts of the world presently look at Nigeria with concern and expectation. Every move we make as a nation is suspect view of the less than edifying roles which many of our public office holder have played, in and out of Nigeria. The image hangover is more than taxing while we are yet to realise d derivable benefits from our limited internal reforms and external projections. Here at home the socio-economic and political opportunities which had long stared us in the face now yell for seizure. We have limitless capacity to turn our prayers and visions of a good life, a peaceful and developed nation into reality. Our local communities, the state and the Country at large can only develop our people get what they deserve from the government when their mandate is carried with responsibility and committed to effective representation. This call for a legislative arm that is uncompromisingly committed to the welfare of the people, justice and Equity as well as effective oversight of both the executive and judiciary-within the framework of separated powers. THE SENATE is the highest legislative body in our country. For it to be effective and truly serve the interest of Nigerian people and the purpose of our nation it requires sensitive MEN and WOMEN of INTEGRITY, public service experience and sufficient knowledge of internal workings of Government and the dynamics of development at the local, state, and national levels. The Nigerian SENATE requires people with skill, panache and conviction. It is an apex legislative house that demands soberness, serenity and determination propelled by deep humanity and breadth of vision, capable of inspiring others to action. These, i believe, i can offer if given the mandate to represent EKITI NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT with the unfailing help of God Almighty.  I AM OFFERING MYSELF BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO LAMENT THE PAST AND WHAT IT TAKES FOR WRONG PEOPLE TO PREVAIL IS FOR THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO KEEP QUIET OR ABDICATE RESPONSIBILITIES. WE MUST NOW GIVE A NEW VALUE AND DEFINITION TO OUR NATIONAL POLITICS.  Indeed the time has come to unleash true Patriotic tide in Nigeria and spark meaningful grassroots development. The time has come for the political class to truth commit itself, working within Government to use people's mandate for a better society. And for tomorrow to be better; today must used to legislate against POVERTY, CORRUPTION, YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT, ABUSE OF POWER and other institutionalised practices which entrench injustice,socio-economic disparities and general underdevelopment. Working in concert with others, the allocative powers and the oversight functions of the SENATE shall be directed accordingly. Your endorsement and support of STAGE is therefore, a vote for Nigeria of your vision, getting what you deserve from your Government and your Country while giving you necessary opportunity to contribute to determining your destiny and shaping your society and Country.  ONLY THE BEST IS GOOD FOR EKITI STATE.
