Fayose: I will send you packing like I did to Fayemi

The governor-elect of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose, yesterday, said that the Peoples Democratic Party will in 2015 defeat the main opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in the South-West states, stating that the APC should prepare to leave the states it is currently in control of.


Fayose, who spoke before thousands of party chieftains and followers at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos, in a rally put in place to welcome him to the state and in continuation of his Southwest Tour tagged “Thank You,”declared that nothing will stop President Goodluck Jonathan from being re-elected next year, adding that just as he beat the incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi of the APC with a landslide victory, so will his party, take-over Osun State in August 9 guber polls.

Party chieftains present at the rally were the Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro; Chairman, Lagos State chapter of the PDP, Group Captain Olatunji Shelle (rtd); Prince Buruji Kashamu; PDP interim zonal chairman, Chief Ishola Filani; PDP Lagos Gubernatorial candidate in 2011, Dr. Ade Dosunmu; Chief Gbadamosi Babatunde; former Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Segun Ogundimu among others.

Fayose said: “Before I recognise my leaders, I want to give the APC an assignment after leaving this place. After leaving this place, their leaders, their followers, should come and sweep the whole of Freedom Park for me.

The conspiracy against me in 2006 is now their albatross. It is the problem they are facing now and that is what is going to take all of them out of government house, one after the other.”

Lauding the Lagos PDP members and leadership under Captain Olatunji Shelle and Chief Olabode George for their commitment, he said: “I am here to thank and appreciate you, the good people of Lagos State, the common people of Lagos State, people who are not even party members, I salute you.

The era of imposition either by the APC, PDP or any other political party is gone. If you want to continue with politics, god-fatherism will take you elsewhere and not to government house.”
