Ekiti Prison Break: Fayose is Involved

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has accused Governor Ayodele Fayose of complicity in the Monday jail break in Ado-Ekiti following conflicting reports by the governor and his media aide, Lere Olayinka.

Ekiti Prison Break: 66 Back in Prison

Sixty-seven inmates who escaped from the Federal Prisons, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Sunday, have been rearrested.

Scores of gunmen stormed the Ado-Ekiti Prisons, detonated a bomb and launched an attack that lasted 45 minutes.

Three nurses KIDNAPPED in Ekiti State

Three nurses and the Director of Administration, Ado Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Mr Tayo Olawuyi, have been kidnapped.

The nurses were kidnapped on Friday, while Olawuyi’s incident occurred early last week. None of the victims has been found and their abductors are yet to get in touch with their families, Daily Trust gathered.

Prison Break in Ado-Ekiti

Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, was yesterday thrown into panic, following the invasion of the Prisons, Ado-Ekiti by unknown gunmen.

The gunmen, in scores, invaded the facility at about 10.30 pm and operated unhindered till about 1. 45 am yesterday.

Blood shed in Ikere Ekiti

No fewer than four persons were killed yesterday evening as a group of gunmen attacked a first generation bank in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Sources said the robbers first launched an attack on a nearby police station, killing two policemen in the process, before attacking the bank. The sources added that the attack on the bank, after its closure to customers, left two customers at the ATM dead
