THE Director General of the Ayo Fayose Campaign Organisation
(AFCO), Chief Dipo Anisulowo, has described the victory of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Saturday's governorship election, Mr. Ayo
Fayose, as "the voice of Ekiti people."
He added: "We thank Ekiti people for thier support and encouragement in the election. We also thank our party members and supporters for keeping faith and beleiving in us after all these years we've been out of government."
He admitted that "we are not unaware that the stake is high and the expectations of the people are equally high," but assured that Fayose was "ready because he had done it before and he is ready to even do it better now."
He hinted that his party would run an "all-inclusive government which would make Ekiti people the main focus with the ultimate goal of moving Ekiti forward."
Professor Asuzu, who is the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, announced that Fayose scored 203,090 votes to defeat the state governor and candidtate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. KayodeFayemi, who scored 150,433, and Michael Opeyemi Bamidele of the Labour Party who scored 18,135, to win the election.

Anisulowo, who expressed happiness after the Chief Returning Officer in the election, Professor Isaac Asuzu, announced his candidate as winner of the election said "Ekiti people have spoken and have spoken loudly well with this election."
